Deacon Jenny Parnell
My family and I are originally from North Cornwall. While there, I had several different jobs and roles. I worked in a residential home, ran toddler groups, and led school workshops in a museum. I was a Methodist Local Preacher and helped with children and youth work at the Church. I candidated for ordained ministry in 2014 and began training for this in 2015.
Following training at The Queen's Foundation in Birmingham, I was stationed at the Wharfedale and Aireborough Circuit in 2017 and ordained in 2019. Following my ordination as a diaconal minister, I was stationed at the Redhill and East Grinstead Circuit before coming to this Circuit in September 2024.
I am married to Mervyn, and we have four children and four Grandsons. Our hobbies include visiting National Trust properties, museums and art galleries. I also enjoy playing with paint and can often be found painting. I also enjoy reading and studying. When we have free time, Mervyn and I love being with family and friends and walking our dog, Buster.
Reverend Nick Jones
Hi, I’m Nick Jones and I’m the Superintendent Minister of the Sutton Park Circuit and sharing in ministry here at Stockland Green.
I come originally from the East Midlands, growing up in Rothwell before feeling called to ministry and working with the homeless at the Whitechapel Methodist Mission in East London. I then served as Lay Pastor at Bow Road before training as a Methodist Presbyter. I’ve served in the Southend and Leigh Circuit and Birmingham Circuit and moved into the Sutton Park Circuit during the summer of 2024.
