The Café on the Green has been open for 13 years. We are a community cafe staffed by volunteers. The management team are all church members. One of our aims is to encourage people with additional needs to help with the many and varied tasks involved with running a kitchen, and we are proud that two staff members have remained with us the whole time. Our other volunteers come from the local community.

We operate as a cafe on Wednesdays (except school holidays) and Thursdays, serving quality homemade food at reasonable prices. We also sell Italian style coffee, freshly ground and brewed. We are open from 9.30 am  till 1.00 pm, providing breakfasts, snacks and lunches. We accept card payments and cash.

 On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9.30 am we distribute food bags to those in need. The bags contain a selection of unsold food donated by Greggs and Tesco.

 The cafe is used for charity coffee mornings and afternoon teas. Tea and coffee is served in the cafe after morning service. We have also enjoyed Sunday lunches, Caribbean meals and Easter breakfasts as part of our church life.
